Well; that went well. I had a great time this last weekend being a part of the Norman Music Fest. THe venue that i played was Michelangelos- a smaller coffee/wine/chocolate type bistro that were very hospitable to me and my humble crowd. NMF6 was jumping for my 430 set time and im pretty sure a good amount of people strolled in and listened just by virture of the festival which felt like lightning through my body. While playing there was this raw energy just from hooking people into listening and I felt like a live wire. it was awesome. Good reviews from strangers and friends. hopefully it can be spun into being invited back/ more festival performances. we’ll see. anyhow big ups to everyone that saw and heard; NMF6, Michelangelos and Norman. you guys are my faves. heres a video from the performance.
This lovely guy named Casey Friedman runs a youtube channel/rebel group called Acoustic Oklahoma and they frequently feature some awesome artists from our home state. I got the pleasure of being one of them and here is a video from that day, enjoy!

I have finally finished assembling my suitcase drum kit. I think its the best… anyway. It consists of a yamaha rydeen 14 inch snare, 18inch camber ride, slingerland style hi hat stand, ludwig snare stand, yamaha kick pedal, sabian b8 14 inch hi hats. i used an american tourister suitcase, the big one. I have drilled into it to mount the flap of wood for the kick pedal (which has a foam rubber beater on it), and also mounted three floor tom leg holder on it; one in front for stabilization, one on the left side for mounting cowbell and woodblock, and one on the far side with holds a gibraltar S shaped cymbal mount for the ride. thing probably weighs like 30 pounds or so. but it is highly portable, original, and otherwise freaking awesome. also; there is room for the throne which is a small ludwig all black model. check out the video for a demo of the setup.
everytime that i get on ebay to casually look for something that i kind of want musically, i end up falling in love and buying something inspiring. the only somewhat silverish lining is that its usually cheap and useful. im so grateful that i value cheap and useful… but ebay is the devil!
Heres an acoustic cover. feel free to send me a request.
Here is a video of me doing a cover of Sublimes “Doin’ Time“. enjoy!
Heading out west with my headphones on…
